That's right!
Here is to victory against terrorism. Go Israel!

What amazes me, if any other nation in the world was getting rocketed everyday, no one would bat an eye at the reprisal. Somehow the Israelis are just supposed to grin and bear it.

Imagine if the USA were getting rocketed everyday, targeting civilians, by Mexico.

I knew the anti-semites would out themselves.
And, why am I not allowed to post non-dead, but others are?

Hey K, I in point of fact tend toward support of the zionists, though I note "proportinality, please", and thus it has nothing to do with one's take on it, frankly, BUT, my point would be that the presentation is what I think offends some...if it surfaced in the context of you, me and NC debating the military industrial complex or some such, fine. But otherwise it seems like so much pathetic flag waving...which in some situations, some settings, absolutely go for it...vet's day or the like. Outta the blue it just disrupts.

But, you have a point about double standards and so forth. Just be careful if you end up with Rasta on your team...he is prone to falling asleep at critical moments. Or is that me?

The flag is fine!

The killing of any civilians in Israel/Palestine is a tragedy, Palestinian or Israeli, but the overwhelming majority killed and wounded have been Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli military. 50% Gaza residents are children, and all sectors of Hamas (including civil servants) have been demonized as ruthless terrorists to justify this slaughter and Israel's appalling violation of human rights and international law.

The Nuremberg Trials will mean nothing if certain countries think they are above the law because they think they hold all the cards.

Dontcha let that deal go down oh no -- the first one now
will later be last, for the times they are a-changin'.

Dylan's website is pretty nice. I visited "When the Deal Goes Down":

and you get to listen to the whole song if you click listen.

It works with other songs I checked like Hard Rain and Masters of War.

"The flag is fine!" yeah, when it doused with lighter fluid and burned.
For Hamas, when they use women & children to shield themselves, they "know" their particular Alah will send them all to the promised land, so no prob in their sickcowardly mindset. And its great for their cause...but you don't get it. My heart breaks for Israel and the suffering they have suffered from all the Jew haters that surround their country. But you don't get it-or maybe u do. Your flag is not mine. I think you should be a human shield in Gaza- but not the innocent children that are being brainwashed into hate. People like that (Hamas) prove themselves subhuman. Duh

Wikipedia says the writing is the statement of faith.
I think you got this backwards:
"Use your aggressive feelings, boy! Let the hate flow through you!" --Darth Vader

>>> sickcowardly mindset. ...People like that (Hamas) prove themselves subhuman. >>>>

Funded early on by Mossad as a counter to Arafat, Hamas is not universally beloved by Muslims apparently but they do stand up against aggression and corruption on some level and were elected fairly. I heard they may recognize Israel's right to exist if Israel respects 1967 borders. But of course Israel is controlled by racist and hate-filled religious sentiments toward both Christians and Muslims.

In fact what IS cowardly is high-tech murder of innocent people in fits of hate and greed all out proportion to the imagined crime.

The only way to justify war crimes is to dehumanize the victims. Classic propaganda.

People should notice that the Israeli government was the party that broke the truce, as noted on CNN:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KntmpoRXFX4

I'm really sure ;) that the Israeli gov't would luv something fair like impartial international peacekeepers:

Everyone knows that as the jewel in the crown of creation, we are the highest order of natural selection, the height of evolution.

And so we must consume animated drawings that tells that the little hipster nephews and nieces of the beatniks (hippies) were wrong about war, the environment, health food, and everything else good that blunts the harshness of industrial civilization.

Yes, anyone who would question the authority of the machine must be an insane subhuman. Perhaps I'm taking liberties of the generation previous to me. Maybe I'm the scum untermensch to those too afraid to think for themselves and keep the lovelight on.

Sorry but I don't think the scapegoat will play that cruci-fiction game anymore, and accept ever wild commandment the old devil shoots their way. Since your subculture has failed at war, why not give some peace a try?

Ok now back to listening to music and those lyrics that don't really mean anything. Right.

Maybe we can help the "clean Jews" to do right -- by ourselves doing right inside our own country. Our "cons" are the ones supporting the bad mob.

Heck we even have guys that write speeches and policy papers for Republicans and the Likud. US intellectuals and "journalists" (stretching the definition even to David Gregory) should get off their keisters. The general American public might have reacquaint themselves with American values found in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

And for you:

Israel's justification is false from all angles; even when they say Hamas started it

The mainstream media's framing has been: "the situation in Gaza is tragic, but Hamas started it by breaking the cease-fire/truce with Israel last week." This framing ignores:
- The entire 60-year history of Israel's illegal occupation and oppression of Gaza.
- That Israel has been viciously strangling Gaza for the last several months with its blockade that has literally turned Gaza into a giant open-air prison.
- That nothing justifies the disproportionate and barbaric massacre of civilians that is taking place.
- That Israel has flagrantly and aggregiously violated numerous international laws and conventions in its operation.

But even ignoring all that, the truth of the matter is... that Israel broke the truce first in November. Only one mainstream news show has mentioned it explicitly, but CNN provided ample proof for the claim using previous media reports that failed to note Israel was breaking the ceasefire!

CNN Factcheck:
Israel broke the cease-fire first (with Rick Sanchez)

Again, show me israel blowing up people eating pizza somewhere unrelated to a military base or overzealous policeman's house, or DELIBERATELY attacking innocent people, not "freedom fighters" hiding weapons in apartment buildings and using their own populace as human shields and I'll give a shit.

If guerilla war broke out today in the US, would you move your rocket launcher to an alley between "innocent" people's houses or go attack the enemy from a position that would prevent retalliation on a massive scale that you know will happen, causing your own family and neighbors to be killed? Would you hang out with someone who answered the first option? I wouldn't.

I wouldn't involve my family or any innocent people, I'd go take care of business and business only, not try and make a bunch of martyrs for world sympathy for my veiled cause of holy war and extermination disguised as my own liberation and emancipation. They could have plenty to eat if their corrupt and midevil leaders stopped funelly the money to rocket launchers instead of food. Do the israelis school books teach that other countries are evil mythologial archenemies? Do little jewish children learn songs and poems about killing palestinians? Saying they are related to pigs and dogs and monkeys? Any of this mean anything to you?

We will never agree obviously but if there are two different versions of the same story, take either character that has not straight out called another race, culture and religion subhuman and diseased and evil and give them the benefit of the doubt.

I usually side with the party that goes out of their way not to kill innocent civilians, but I suppose you would argue that they do and if that's the case there is no point in arguing, let's just hope more poeple think the other way for as long as I have to live here.

I am not sure why they cannot sit down and work out a peace agreement... oh yeah, one side wants the other side eliminated and the other side wants both sides to coexist and recognize each other as states. Wonder which one is which?

If you and I can carry on this pointless hurling of opposed and incompatable thoughts at each other without killing anyone, why cannot those idiots? I know the israilis are on highspeed and the palestinians still use AOL.

Oh yeah that makes sense.

Starving people, letting them die at checkpoints after waiting in line for hours, then mass retaliation for some jerks blowing off rockets that don't hit anyone. Yeah bomb the whole group for that.

You can grab the land while pretending you're righteous!

Kill 'em all why not -- but hey don't get out of the boat then because mother nature will get you, or maybe some of your erstwhile allies. Too bad your prophets deserted you long ago because of your wickedness as a culture.

Why should Jordan take Palestine?

I read Hams would accept peace based on 1967 borders, which lets Israel off the hook for land theft and oppression since 1948. That's a big concession, but also realistic since many Israelis are native now. I bet many of the European-Israelis are in the occupied territories.

Nor does being a jew mean that you agree with the fight on terror. There are plenty of jews, mainly those abroad who have never been to Israel or the Middle East, that disagree with what Israel & America are doing. I have been to both Israel and several other countries in the Middle East. The Israelis took a piece of crap land and turned it into something prosperous. Despite massive amounts of oil money, none of their neighbors have managed to do the same (maybe Dubai).
Also for the record, Cliff Hucker, you don't own this place, sorry. I don't follow your orders.
The fact that spaceface agrees with ShawnLarsen, who is probably some neo-nazi skinhead judging by these and his other posts at the archive (do a search, you will be disgusted), says a lot about spaceface. That, and quoting his intellectual mentor, Brian Eno. Perhaps Bono would have been more appropriate.

>>The fact that spaceface agrees with ShawnLarsen, who is probably some neo-nazi skinhead judging by these and his other posts at the archive (do a search, you will be disgusted), says a lot about spaceface. That, and quoting his intellectual mentor, Brian Eno. Perhaps Bono would have been more appropriate.>>>

Your position is so weak you must resort to emotional manipulation and guilt by association rather than reason!

Given the way righter-windnuts lie I would be surprised if it was another's alterego psy-op play. You should have destroyed all the MK-ULTRA files.

Classic propaganda (see wikipedia for example for more).

"This Land Is Your Land"(Native American Version)

This land is your land, it once was my land,

before we sold you Manhattan Island,

you pushed our nations to the reservations,

this land was stole by you from me.

You drag it around like a ball and chain
You wallow in the guilt; you wallow in the pain
You wave it like a flag, you wear it like a crown
Got your mind in the gutter, bringin' everybody down
Complain about the present and blame it on the past
I'd like to find your inner child
and KICK its little ass

Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin' and moanin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it

(and open up a casino...reparations)

The Israelis stole the land to begin with, and their government looks to take over more & more, until they get the anti-christ as ruler apparently!

Brian Eno, musician and music producer, on Counterpunch.com:

"Gaza is now an experiment in provocation. Stuff one and a half million people into a tiny space, stifle their access to water, electricity, food and medical treatment, destroy their livelihoods, and humiliate them regularly...and, surprise, surprise - they turn hostile. Now why would you want to make that experiment?

Because the hostility you provoke is the whole point. Now 'under attack' you can cast yourself as the victim, and call out the helicopter gunships and the F16 attack fighters and the heavy tanks and the guided missiles, and destroy yet more of the pathetic remains of infrastructure that the Palestinian state still has left. And then you can point to it as a hopeless case, unfit to govern itself, a terrorist state, a state with which you couldn't possibly reach an accommodation.

And then you can carry on with business as usual, quietly stealing their homeland."

spacedface, I knew you were a moron long before this. But, this is the icing on the cake. You just quoted a music celebrity because he is, and this is only easy to believe because it is you who posted it, because he is smarter than you. WOW!!!

No I posted it because it was a succinct statement of truth, and one which took courage to make public given the ignorance on the matter.

All you have is name-calling.

Hey Kochman, keep your crap over at your own gay site!

The Hard to Handle opener is missing, but this new Green Mtn Boys file is much cleaner than the already fantastic Kaplan/Cotsman collaboration. Wouldnt you know the Dead would play a phenomenal show at an Indian reservation?

capn doubledose calls the Dark Star and Eleven among the best the band ever played. I'm not sure I agree with that, but this is truly one of the great shows from '69 and Arbuthnot calls this blockbuster Morning Dew "one of the best from the era"

Self loathing anti-zionism and homophobia all in one fell swoop.

Sweet!

Ain't that america, Jews against israel, celebrities for redistribution of their own wealth and gay rights activists snuggling up to dicatotors and islamic despots!

Where else can you get this shit?

There is no way the american empire will ever be defeated, we are out of our fucking minds and no one messes with the crazy dude. Blow ourselves up? Fuck that, we'll bend logic and reason until it snaps and ruptures the very fabric of space time...

2012 is coming, again...
